A Summer Tradition
Returning for its 25th season on Friday, August 1st, the Higgins Beach Association Arts and Craft Show is a favorite for anyone looking for one-of-a-kind handmade finds, special gifts, and the opportunity to visit with artists and crafters in a relaxed seaside setting. The show has featured Higgins Beach artists since it was first organized by Faye Blaise and has grown to include many accomplished Maine artisans.
The show is open 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and features fine art, pottery, sculpture, coastal decor, clothing, jewelry and more! The show also includes a "sweet and savory" bake sale organized by Dave Stahelski, coffee by Giuseppe's Roasters, and new this year: a fun makers space for kids.This year, the two-day arts and craft show was held on Friday, August 4th and Saturday, August 5th at the Higgins Beach Clubhouse. About the Show: Located at Higgins Beach, Scarborough, this show has grown over the past 15 years to include approximately 30 vendors.
This year's vendors sold wares including handmade baskets, photographs, watercolors and pastels, pottery, handcrafted and designed jewelry, candles, knitwear, scarves, shell and beach art, wreaths, mirrors, note cards and much more.
