The clubhouse at the Ledges was still standing as were the elevated cottages that Mary Kelly used to rent on the right side of what is now Kelly Lane.  There was no dock in front of the lobster shack across the river. You could still get a paper at the old store.  There was a stone cottage on Ocean Ave and a log cabin on Shipwreck (but it was called Bayview Extension).  We had wooden stairs to get down to the beach which were attached to a poured concrete seawall.
